Doug Elbinger has been making photographs since the age of 12. While still in high school, he photographed the Beatles, on stage with them during their August 1966 concert in Detroit. As a student at MSU, Doug worked for The State News, The Detroit Free Press, and United Press International.

Highlights of his photojournalistic career include Robert F. Kennedys' presidential campaign in May 1968 and the invasion of Czechoslovakia in August 1968. Over the years Elbingers' photographs have appeared in countless newspapers, magazines, trade journals, album covers, and annual reports. A permanent exhibit of his 'Celebrity Lecture Series' photographs is on display in front of the Big 10 Room at the Kellogg Center.

Since 1978, Doug has operated an award winning portrait and commercial photography studio in the Lansing area. Doug is best known as a 'people' photographer. Families, children, weddings, special events, personal or corporate, Doug enjoys being there with his camera.
